Essa É Nossa História

Synopsis

The stage play “Essa é a nossa história” tells the story of how the Federal Territory of Guaporé became the State of Rondônia. An Amazonian saga in which migrants from all over the country, fleeing scarcity and hunger in search of the hope of better days, took on the challenge in the middle of the largest tropical forest in the world. The play carries the voice of Indigenous peoples, with the participation of Darlene Karitiana, an Indigenous woman who fights against the erasure of her people's memory. In this context of struggle and courage, the three branches of state government and its legislative foundation were built, along with the cornerstone of the State of Rondônia: the Constitution, the Magna Carta governing the social, economic, legal, and political development of the new state, the new star in the blue of the Union.
